A wry view of life for the world-weary

Irony Of The Week (5)

bumblebee

It’s all in the name, I suppose.

This week I learned that last Saturday’s flight BE384 from Southampton to Dublin was delayed for two hours after the journey had to be abandoned shortly after take-off.

No, Kate Moss wasn’t on board – by the way, where was Boris when the Easy jet passengers from Bodrun to Luton needed him? The reason for the aborted flight? A bumble bee, doubtless fancying a trip to the Emerald Isle, had become lodged in one of the outside instruments of the plane.

It goes without saying that the plane was operated by Flybe.
