News has reached me that the organisers of the Standard Chartered Bangkok half marathon made what can only be described as a bit of a cock up.
Race officials responsible for pointing runners in the right direction sent them the wrong way, adding a further 6 kilometres to their race.
Even the doped up professional athletes could not record personal bests in such circumstances.
It is unbelievable how often this seems to happen, providing cynics like me the opportunity to guffaw and wonder how difficult it really can be to mark out a half marathon course.
This will run and run.
